Ruth Hennessey
Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Born Marion Ruth McGrath on August 18, 1930, she raised her family in St. Paul before returning to Stillwater in 1993. Ruth lived her life in faith always showing her love of family and friends. She died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 23, 2009.
Survived by her loving husband, John; four children, John Hennessey (Mary), Anne Furlong (Tom), Mary Steiner (Tom), Bill Hennessey (LiJun), and eleven grandchildren, Tom, Kate, James, Patrick, Katheryn, Michael, Shannon, Mary, Hannah, Matt and Ben; sisters Saranne Peltier, Jean (Dode) Simonet ; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Wednesday May 27, 2009 at ST. MICHAEL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 611 S. 3rd Street, Stillwater. Visitation 4-8PM Tuesday at SIMONET FUNERAL HOME, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater and one hour prior to Mass at the church ATRIUM. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Bayport. Memorials are preferred to Julia Center, A mission of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters; 1429 W. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622.
