Lifelong resident of Stillwater
Died quietly and peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday July 26, 2009. Preceded in death by parents Arvid and Gwen Johnson and sister Sally Lee.
Survived by loving wife Jani of 47 years; sons Joe (Debbi) and Jeff; grandchildren Nick and Samantha; sister-in-law Judy (Howard) Petersen; brother-in-law Paul Lee; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Jack was a man who loved boating on the St. Croix River on his houseboat the “Chug-a-lug” for 48 years, with loyalty to the St. Croix Valley. His patriotism to his country was apparent, with his favorite day of the year being the 4th of July. He was a paper salesman in the St. Paul and Minneapolis area for 37 years.
Funeral Service 10:30 AM Saturday August 1, 2009 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH 115 N. 4th St., Stillwater. Visitation 9 AM until the time of service at CHURCH. Interment Fairview Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Kidney Foundation.
