Age 59 of Lakeland.
Vietnam Veteran.
Born August 8, 1950 in Duluth, MN. Died September 4, 2009 suddenly at home.
Preceded in death by parents Sanford and Dagny Oie.
Survived by loving wife of 20 years Jan Lassen; sisters Kathy (Lowell) Williams, Carol Stodola, Sandra (Jac) Botes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 11 AM Tuesday September 15, 2009 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Steve was a 28 year employee of the DNR. He was a lover of his country, family, nature, fishing and music. Steve was instantly liked by everyone he met. He will be sadly missed.
A grateful thanks to the VA Medical Center. Steve was a loyal supporter of his fellow veterans and organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
