S.A. “Budd” Kloeckner
Age 87 of Oak Park Heights
Passed away September 18, 2009. Beloved and cherished husband of June for 63 years. Preceded in death by parents Rosemary and Herbert. Survived by children, Diane (Russel) Carlson, Dale (Marla), Darrel (Nancy), Dean (Tex) and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He served in WWII in Patton’s 3rd Army in the 282nd Combat Engineers, Company C. He served on the front lines during the Battle of the Bulge and was one of the very first American liberators of the Dachau concentration camp.
After the war, Budd started work for Andersen Window Corp. in Bayport initially in lumber receiving. In 1975 he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent and then Plant Superintendent a few years later. Budd retired in 1982 after 36 years of service. He and June spent the next 26 years traveling the USA and world and enjoying their cherished family.
Budd was a wonderful husband, father and provider. He truly loved his wife June during their 63 years of marriage and always put her and his family first. His faith in God and loving family were always the most important. A true American patriot.
Service 10:00 A.M. Thursday September 24th, 2009 at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 490 North 4th Street, Bayport. Visitation one hour prior to service at the CHURCH. Private family interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bayport or the American Legion Post 491 in Bayport, MN.
