Margaret Doerr Obituary

Margaret (Pat) Doerr age 88 of Stillwater passed away Tuesday, June 28th at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Stillwater. Margaret was born on December 1, 1927 to William L. Peulen and Annie Legler in Oak Park. She attended Oak Park Grade School and graduated from Stillwater High School. She married Paul Doerr on September 2, 1952 in Stillwater. Margaret worked many years for Northwestern Bell Company in Stillwater and later in St. Paul before retiring. In her free time she played bingo, going to the casinos and was active in the Elks Club in Stillwater and spent some time in Florida during the winter. She was a great cook and enjoyed sharing it with family and friends. Margaret is survived by one son, Dennis, of Stillwater; sister Marion Murphy Simsen, of Caledonia, MN and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul in 1996; step-daughter Rachael (nee Doerr) Noreen in 2015; sister Betty Havens; brothers William and Joe Peulen; brothers-in law, Floyd Murphy, Kenneth Simsen and Jerry Havens; and sister-in-law Jeanette Peulen. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN 55082 with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Bayport.
