Diane Kay Westmoreland

Diane K Westmoreland, age 62 of McGregor, formerly of Lake Saint Croix Beach, MN, passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of her husband, on Thursday, July 25, 2013. She was born on April 12, 1951 in Centuria, WI, the daughter of Margaret and Fred Hoffman. Diane graduated from Unity High School in Balsam Lake WI, with the class of 1969. On May 8, 1971, she was united in marriage to Edward Lee Westmoreland in Stillwater, MN. In 1973 they moved to Lake Saint Croix Beach. She spent many years at home happily raising her 4 children followed by a 20 year career in various banking institutions. She was actively involved in Boy Scouts, enjoyed camping, time outdoors at the cabin, and was an avid movie watcher. She could always be found with a book in her hand, and loved spending time watching her many grandchildren grow. She is survived by husband of 42 years, Edward Lee Westmoreland also of McGregor; 4 children, Christopher (Celia) of Hillman, MN, Andrew (Laura) of New Richmond, WI, Nicholas (Megan) of White Bear Lake, MN, and Peter (Maggie) of New Richmond, WI; and 12 grandchildren, Mason, Aidan, Edward, William, Matthew, Julian, Nathan, Johannah, Gunnar, Greta, Emerson, and Garrett. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her sisters Doris Steffen and Beverly Connelly. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 3rd,at the CHURCH OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI, 16770 13th St. S, Lakeland, MN 55043. Visitation 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association Development Department, 27001 Agoura Rd., Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.
