Donald Peter Wilmes

Don Wilmes Loving Husband, Dad, and Grandpa Don passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the age of 90 at Croixdale in Bayport. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Wilmes; grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) Neumann and Sean Wilmes; and brother, William (Faye) Wilmes. Preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; son, Mark; parents, Peter and Lena Wilmes; brother, Richard Wilmes; and sister, Eileen Brinkman. Don was a lifelong resident of Bayport where he was a member of the Bayport Fire Department and St. Charles Church. He was also a long time employee of Andersen Windows. Don was a United States Air Force veteran of World War II, and member of both the Colonels Club and American Legion Post 491 of Bayport. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Church of St. Charles, 409 N 3rd Street, Bayport, MN 55003. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Bayport.
