Beverly C. Rodriguez, age 40 of Woodbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born on March 25, 1985, in Harlingen, TX, Bev was the middle child of seven children born to Elias and Eduvilia Rodriguez. She graduated from Lac qui Parle Valley High School in Madison, MN, and went on to work for the Three Rivers Park District which helped her to decide to study law enforcement at Hennepin Technical College, where she earned her Certificate of Law Enforcement in 2014. At the same time, Bev also earned an Associate's Degree in Science from North Hennepin Community College.
Bev made a real mark in her role as a Sergeant with the Metro Transit Police Department, where she dedicated her life to helping others through the Homeless Action Team (HAT). Colleagues loved her not just for her skills, but for her kind heart and genuine spirit. She made a difference every day, helping people find housing and offering support when it was needed most.
Bev has been posthumously promoted to Lieutenant by the Metro Transit Police Department. She had submitted her application along with an outstanding resume of qualifications for the position, but was unable to attend her scheduled interview on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Beyond her professional life, Bev enjoyed having fun. She adored her sons, Macallen and Macody, and was fond of working out, watching movies in the theater with loved ones, traveling, and giving back to the community. She was a proud member of the National Latino Peace Officers Association, serving the Minnesota chapter since 2014 and taking on a national role as the Northern Region Vice President since 2021.
Bev will remain in the hearts of her sons Macallen and Macody; her mother Eduvilia “Martha” Rodriguez; siblings Robert (Cristina) Rodriguez, Judy Lopez, Jennifer Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, and Diana (Hector Ramirez) Rodriguez; nieces and nephews Damian, Elias, Dallas, Austin, Giovanni, Owen, Aaron, Lorenzo, Jakob, Keon, Jayden, Cattleya, Camilla, and Bella; her two k9’s Bristol and Brindle; her true brothers and sisters in the Metro Transit Police Department and the National Latino Peace Officers Association; and many other relatives, friends, and law enforcement colleagues.
She is preceded in death by her father Elias Rodriguez.
A Funeral Service for Beverly will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Stillwater High School, 5701 Stillwater Blvd, Oak Park Heights, MN, use Door 11W. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater.

Bev will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
