Gregory Charles Pearson
September 30, 1951 - September 17, 2025
After many years of dominating the Sioux Falls Auto Body market, our Dad, Greg, was an avid road tripper, international chess player, and doting grandfather. He enjoyed few things more than packing up the motor home, 5th-Wheel, or his plug-in hybrid van to crisscross the country with his wife of 54 years, Pam. Whether rollerblading through the RV park on the Texas coast, spending a week in the forests of Oregon, or baking in the 100+ degree weather in the Arizona desert, he was happy.
When he wasn't living the "I can't drive 55" life, he challenged online chess players from all over the world who came to fear his Bobby Fischer-esque tactics. But, most of all, he cherished his time with his loving family, especially being "Papa" to his two granddaughters, Luna and Mira.
Dad surely left this life too early, but perhaps now, he's traveling across the universe with the Good Lord in the passenger seat. Enjoy the open road, Dad. We'll see you when we look to the heavens.
Our Dad is survived by his loving wife, Pam, his three should've-been-more-grateful children, Jake, Marie, and Ben (Farr), and his two beautiful grandchildren, Luna and Mira. He also leaves behind quite the cast of family characters: Uncle Steve (Auntie Val), Uncle Chuck (Auntie Kaye), Auntie Ann (Uncle Al), Uncle Rich, and many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests those who wish to honor Greg to please make a donation to the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Paul: https://littlesistersofthepoorstpaul.org/
