Mary Ann Peltier-Rigney

Mary Ann Peltier-Rigney was born on November 17, 1955. She attended St. Croix Catholic School in Stillwater, MN and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1974. She moved to Texas where she started her family. Several years later she moved back home to Minnesota to raise her boys. Her sons were her world and she will forever be proud of them. Their favorite memories are camping on the St. Croix River and fishing together as a family. Mary Ann would always catch the biggest fish in the back of the boat while she was reading. Both her laugh and smile were contagious. It wasn’t just her hat that sparkled, it was her zest for life. She was carefree, fun loving and up for new adventures. Mary Ann always took joy in the beauty all around her. She loved her whole entourage of family, aunts and uncles, extended family and her friends! She was a great conversationalist. She was patient and forgiving to all those she met. Mary Ann died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 17, 2016 after an eight year relentless and courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. She is survived by her parents, Bernie & Mary Ellen (Nolan); children, Donald (Elise) & Chris (Diana); siblings, John (Donna), Bill, Tim, Michael, Robert (Nancy); grandson, Asher William Rigney; nieces, Sarah (Daniel), Brittany, Amy (Nate), Alida, McKenzie Grace; nephews, James and Alex. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at ST. MICHAEL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH Stillwater, MN. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 PM at the SIMONET FUNERAL HOME, Stillwater, MN and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment St. Michaels Cemetery.
