Michael "Mike" Biedrzycki walked into Christ's open arms on March 7, 2026. Born December 1, 1947 to Paul and Alice Biedrzycki in Miles City, Montana. Mike lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. He spent his early childhood in Montana and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School. In 1961, his father's railroad career brought the family to St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended Hill High School-now Hill-Murray School-and graduated in 1965. During his high school years, he worked summers at the Dari-ette Drive-In on Minnehaha Ave. After graduation, Mike attended the University of St. Thomas for three years before being drafted into the United States Army in 1969. He served as an administrative clerk and was stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Following his military service, Mike returned to Minnesota and began what would become a 42-year career with the Milwaukee Road railroad, working as a locomotive engineer. Later in life, he returned to the University of St. Thomas and proudly completed his bachelor's degree in computer science in 2001. In 1972, Mike married Julie Thomas. Together they built a home and raised their eight children in Stillwater, Minnesota, where all attended St. Croix Catholic School. In 1998, the family moved to Osceola, Wisconsin. Mike's Catholic faith was central to his life. While living in Stillwater, he was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, and after moving to Osceola he attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He also loved movies-especially comedies starring Steve Martin and classic mobster films. Mike was well known among family and friends for laughing at the most inappropriate moments in films and for being able to quote lines from nearly any movie he had seen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Biedrzycki. Mike is survived by his sister Kay; his wife Julie; and his children; John and wife Karen and their children, Richard and Oliver, Joseph and wife Cora, Joshua, Jacob, Jeremiah and wife Maureen and their children, Michael, Mayme, Juliana, Joanna, James and wife Vivian, Mary and husband Daniel and their children Edwin and Declan, and Jonah and wife Giovanna. Mike will be remembered for his deep faith, his devotion to his family, his legendary cooking, and the laughter he brought to those around him. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at the Church of St. Michael. Burial will follow at St. Michael's cemetery.
