Nancy Condon

May 15, 1945 — May 13, 2025

Nancy M. Condon, age 79, of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born on May 15, 1945, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to Irvin "Lee" and Louise (Thieschafer) Martin. She spent her early years in Swanville before her family moved to Orono, where she graduated from Orono High School as a National Merit Scholar. Continuing her education, she attended the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.

In 1977, Nancy married Jerry Condon in Stillwater. Together they welcomed three daughters who flourished under their loving and nurturing guidance. Nancy was a loving mother whose independence, intelligence, and quick wit left a profound impact on her children.

Nancy was a lifelong artist. Her textile art was shown in multiple shows at the Phipps Center for the Arts and won blue ribbons at the State Fair. She attended a quilting retreat every year in Columbus, Ohio and cherished the friends she made through her quilting network. She also took her skills abroad, teaching quilting courses in Australia and doing a six week residency at the Patan Museum in Kathmandu, Nepal. Professionally, Nancy worked as a graphic designer, both as a freelancer and at Winston Press and AGS.

Nancy adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, showering them with affection and gifts. An avid traveler, she explored many corners of the world, including Europe, South Korea, Nepal, and Australia.

Wife, mother, friend, and artist, she did it all beautifully.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry; her daughters, Jessie (Andy) Riemer, Zoe (Nick) Condon Santore, and Emma (Abel) Lomax; her grandchildren, Joe, Abby, Nora, and Juno; her brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Martin and Bob (Mary) Martin; and many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to honor Nancy's life will be held at a future date.
