Age 96, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. Reuben was born on December 9, 1929. He proudly served in the U.S Army at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. Reuben met the love of his life Eileen (Kuether), they tied the knot on November 20, 1951, and together they welcomed five daughters. Reuben had a career for 35 years at 3M, St. Paul, Minnesota and he enjoyed 40 years of retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, fishing, playing cards and dancing. Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Mable (Simon) Germain; brothers, Gorvin and Dwane; daughters, Melanie and Deanne. Reuben is survived by his daughters, Lynn, Laurie and Marlys; grandchildren, Christa, Marlo, Paul, Jamie, Steven, Alexis, and Tim; great-grandchildren, Logan, Calvin, Chelsea, Bethany, Eleanor, Rosalyn, Scarlet, and Hudson; sisters Delores and Eunice; and best friend Pat. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1 - 3 pm on Sunday May 17, 2026, at the Historic Lowell Inn, 102 2nd Street North, Stillwater, Minnesota 55082. Private family burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
