Richard F. Cool, Sr

Passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 89. Preceeded in death by son Dickie. He is survived by his wife Helen; daughter Missy (Steve) Junker; grandchildren Andy and Beau Junker; daughters Mary Kaye LaPointe and Pat Bullis; and many good friends. Dick retired from MCA-Universal Pictures in 1975 and took up hot air ballooning as a hobby. He taught his children how to fly and his hot air ballooning turned into a family business and founded Stillwater Honda & Balloon in 1976. He was a talented balloon pilot and had a true passion for the sport of ballooning. He also enjoyed spending time on the St. Croix River with family and friends. Gathering of family and friends Friday, June 22, 2007 5-7PM at SIMONET FUNERAL HOME, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater with a Memorial Service at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
