Theresa Josephine "Terri or Terri Jo" Halverson, age 64, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026 under hospice care at her home in Bayport, MN.

She was born January 3, 1962 to the late Emmet and Rose Halverson. She was raised in the Emerald, Wisconsin area. She attended Glenwood City High School until her junior year and then attended and graduated from Baldwin-Woodville High School when her family moved to the Baldwin, WI area. She was the youngest of a family of 13 children. Upon graduation she worked various jobs before enrolling and attending cosmetology school in Eau Claire, WI. She served in the army and was honorably discharged. She held various positions in the St. Paul, MN area. She had one daughter, Deena. She never married. In 1998 she met Bobby McPherson and moved to Bayport, MN. Theirs was a special relationship of love and a lasting friendship. She worked in the food service for a period and eventually had a housecleaning business which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Her hobbies and interests included agate hunting, antiquing and brass collecting, boating, baking and cooking, shopping, as well as the enjoyment of staying close to home. When her health declined, she expressed her creativity in diamond art. She enjoyed being on the St. Croix river and anything boating, fishing, trips to the Grand Canyon and to Las Vegas to visit Deena. Her proudest accomplishments include her daughter Deena and Deena's 20 months of sobriety, establishing her house cleaning business, and beating breast cancer. The plans she and Bobby had to travel in their retirement years had to be put on hold while she dealt with her health issues. She left our world much too soon. Her humor, sassy personality, and love for those around her will be missed by so many.

Survived by daughter, Deena Cadham (fiancé Dana Morton), partner, Bobby McPherson, siblings, John Halverson, Ken (Alice) Halverson, Kay Magadance, Keith (Nicole) Halverson, Pat Kovacs, Martina Halverson, and Dan Halverson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Emmet and Rose Halverson, siblings Michael Halverson, Karen Halverson, Susan Papenfuss, Jim Halverson, and Jerry Halverson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass all at the Church of St. Charles, 409 N 3rs St., Bayport, MN 55003. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Bayport.
